We had two great visits over the summer – the first to Hoghton Tower and then a trip to see Evita.
17 May saw a group of 30 or so visit Hoghton Tower. With the whole place to ourselves, we began with an excellent Afternoon Tea which was followed by a brief history before a superb guided tour of the house and its grounds. The weather was excellent although, as usual, it was perishing cold at the underground dungeon level!

Then on 17 June we visited the Lowther Pavilion in Lytham for a Saturday afternoon performance of Evita – one of the most loved musicals from the partnership of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.
